HArmonyCa™

HArmonyCa™ is a first-of-its-kind "hybrid" biostimulator by Allergan, combining hyaluronic acid (HA) for immediate volume, and ‘lift’ with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) from the stimulation of new collagen. 

It may be used to address sagging skin, deep lines (like smile or marionette lines), and loss of definition in areas such as the cheek or jawline.

HArmonyCa™ was launched by Allergan Aesthetics in April 2022. The product entered the European and select EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa) markets at the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) in Monaco. Allergan had previously acquired the company that developed the product, Luminera, in October 2020. 

HArmonyCa™ is considered an innovative, "first-in-class" treatment because it combines two active compounds in a single injection: hyaluronic acid (HA) for immediate lift and volume, and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres for longer-term collagen stimulation. 

HArmonyCa™ now has Health Canada approval as a Class 3 Device (License no. 114447, 2025-12-05). We expect to start offering it in the summer of 2026. 

While both may be considered "biostimulators," they are not the same. HArmonyCa™ is a hybrid filler that contains hyaluronic acid for instant mid facial volume and calcium hydroxyapatite for collagen stimulation.

Many dermal fillers rely solely on hyaluronic acid (HA) to provide volume and hydration, however HArmonyCa™ combines HA with calcium hydroxyapatite. This hybrid formula allows HArmonyCa™ to provide immediate volume while also stimulating longer-term collagen production.

The effects typically last 12-18 months.  Because it's a hybrid filler, as the HA slowly dissipates, the collagen production from CaHA should help maintain structure. 

In other countries, HArmonyCa™ is injected deep in the dermis and subdermis of the cheeks, jawline, and lower face, near the ear and hairline. 

Using a cannula to create lift, volume, and skin tightening, HA provides immediate volume while the CaHA stimulates long-term collagen formation for maintenance. This may improve areas like the zygomatic arch (cheekbones) and mandibular body to address sagging and deep lines, offering a natural lift and improved skin quality.
